TVA Releases Trauma Registry Data Standards – Implementation Timeframe Best Practices

August 10, 2016

Dear Trauma Colleagues,

The Trauma Vendor Alliance is pleased to announce the initial release of the Trauma Registry Data Standards – Implementation Timeframe Best Practices document (attached). This document is the result of a collaboration between trauma registry vendors and representatives from national, state, hospital system, and collaborative trauma registry programs. Regardless of your position in the trauma industry, you will find this a useful resource and valuable to your ongoing initiatives.

The universal goal of this resource is to help all stakeholders establish timelines and project plans for implementing dataset revisions in the most efficient manner possible to minimize re-work, reduce costs, and increase quality and timeliness. Please help the trauma registry industry by distributing this announcement and the associated resources through your networks, and encourage others to do the same. The more we get the word out, the more stakeholders can benefit from the recommendations of this document.

Just as important, we wish to receive ongoing feedback, so the documents can constantly improve and further benefit the entire trauma registry industry. See instructions and next steps within the document for the best way to submit ongoing feedback.

Sincerely,

The Trauma Vendor Alliance
