TVA Announces New Industry Resources

The Trauma Vendor Alliance (TVA) is providing this communication to make the entire trauma registry industry aware of several major and significant NEW resources:

  • National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine – June Report: “A National Trauma Care System: Integrating Military and Civilian Trauma Systems to Achieve Zero Preventable Deaths After Injury” – Quoting from this report, “This paper presents a vision for a national trauma care system driven by the clear and bold aim of zero preventable deaths after injury and minimal trauma-related disability to benefit those the nation sends into harm’s way in combat as well as every American.” This report was developed by members from many of the leading national trauma organizations and will set a master vision for years to come, including the potential to drive the establishment of a national trauma care system.
  • New International Trauma Data Exchange (ITDX) Standard – A new toolkit with broad support from nearly every major trauma registry product to help ensure your registry can send and receive trauma information with all of the systems and repositories required, in the most efficient manner. The ITDX will be a key standard for implementing real-time quality improvement programs and data validation, so it is important to be aware of this exciting and free resource. See the TVA website resources page.
  • New TVA Web Site – The Trauma Vendor Alliance announces the unveiling of the TVA website. General information, videos and resource documents regarding future TVA activities and plans can all located here. Please take a few minutes to visit the site and share with friends and colleagues.
